A Greener Way Home was started in April of 2022 as a high school passion project. After seeing students walk to school every day on busy, unsafe roads, we formed A Greener Way Home. From day one, our mission has been to advocate for the installation of walking and biking infrastructure in the Twin Cities area, as we found that inadequate trails, sidewalks, and other infrastructure was a problem that plagued much of Minnesota.
Today, A Greener Way Home is still a very small group of people. However, we hope that our group grows in the future as we find like-minded individuals who are interested in transportation advocacy. If you wish to join, look at the “volunteer” section of our home page.
A Greener Way Home is not yet legally recognized as a tax exempt (nonprofit) organization, as we have not gone through the legal process to be considered tax exempt. However, we are currently planning to file for a 501(c)(3).
